Crop photo
Keep the part that matters. Move the crop frame, choose a ratio or enter precise pixel coordinates.

Remove unwanted edges deliberately
Cropping changes the frame by keeping a selected rectangle and removing everything outside it. It is useful for a distracting background, a different composition or a required aspect ratio. It does not move the subject or generate content outside the original image.
Start with Free crop for an unconstrained rectangle. Choose 1:1 for a square, 3:4 or 2:3 for portrait proportions, or 16:9 for a wide frame. A fixed ratio describes shape, not a physical print size.
Move the crop with a pointer or keyboard
Drag the selection to move it, and use the lower-right corner to resize it. The numerical inputs show the left and top positions plus crop width and height in source-image pixels. These values can help when you need repeatable framing.
You can also focus the crop box and use the arrow keys to move it one pixel at a time, or hold Shift for ten-pixel steps. Focus its corner control to resize with the keyboard. Keep the frame inside the original image.
Check the saved format and resolution
The crop is exported as JPG and may be re-encoded, so do not assume lossless editing. Transparent input pixels use your chosen background. If you need a specified print size after cropping, use 3×4 cm, 4×6 cm or the custom resizer.
An optional file-size cap can be applied without secretly changing the crop's output dimensions. If the chosen cap cannot be met, adjust the settings. For a size-only task without a different frame, use Compress photo.
Questions, answered
Does cropping change the aspect ratio?
It can. A free crop has any rectangular ratio. The fixed-ratio options constrain the frame while letting you move or resize it.
Can I crop without a mouse?
Yes. Use the numerical coordinate fields, or focus the crop selection and use arrow keys. Hold Shift for larger movements.
Will this keep a transparent background?
No. This version saves JPG. Pick a background colour for transparent inputs, or retain your original PNG if transparency is required.
